Psalms 99,100,101

Know that the LORD is God,
it is He who made us, and we are His;
we are the sheep of His people, the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:3

I know: I belong to God, firstly, because He made me, and secondly, because He has redeemed me by the precious blood of His Son. I know that He is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100:5)

But the Bible also tells me that He is holy, He is exalted over all the nations, He is worthy to be worshiped. (Psalm 99)

So Lord, help me to:

sing of Your love and justice,
sing praise to You,
be careful to lead a blameless life,
walk in my house with blameless heart,
set before my eyes no vile thing,
have nothing to do with evil,

please and honour You in all that I say and do and think,

O gracious loving God, help me do all these things!

Soli Deo gloria!

Peace

To fear the LORD is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech. Proverbs 8:13

If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:18

"There is no peace," says the LORD, "for the wicked." Isaiah 48:22

You will keep in perfect peace
him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in you.

Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

He humbles those who dwell on high,
he lays the lofty city low;
he levels it to the ground
and casts it down to the dust.

Feet trample it down—
the feet of the oppressed,
the footsteps of the poor.

The path of the righteous is level;
O upright One, you make the way of the righteous smooth.

Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts.

My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness.

Though grace is shown to the wicked,
they do not learn righteousness;
even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil
and regard not the majesty of the LORD.

O LORD, your hand is lifted high,
but they do not see it.
Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame;
let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

LORD, you establish peace for us;
all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
